In this 3BHK apartment in Bengaluru, the core design concept was to create a calming and expressive home that could seamlessly host the lives and routines of a close-knit, multi-generational family.

Residential Interior Design By CCOD _ Curious Case Of Design

Sowmya and Bhavuk, a young couple, sought to create a warm and inviting home that they would share with Bhavuk's mother. They envisioned a space that balanced their modern lifestyle with the needs of a multi-generational family.

Challenge -

The challenge lay in creating a harmonious space that catered to diverse needs and preferences, while also feeling cohesive, functional, comfortable, and personalized.

Objectives -

  • Design a home that caters to the needs of both the young couple and the elder family member.

  • Incorporate existing furniture and sentimental pieces into the new design.

  • Reflect the homeowners' personalities, particularly Sowmya's love for florals and pastel shades.

We engaged in detailed conversations to understand their work-from-home requirements, and their desire to incorporate existing furniture with sentimental value. Special attention was given to creating a comfortable and private space for Bhavuk's mother.

Key Learnings-

The importance of creating flexible spaces that can adapt to different needs and activities became a central learning. The project also highlighted the power of incorporating personal belongings to create a truly unique and meaningful home.

Points of Inspiration-

Sowmya's love for florals, pastel shades, and soft curves became a primary source of inspiration, guiding the selection of colors, patterns, and furniture.

Design Considerations-

Balancing privacy and togetherness was a key consideration. Thoughtfully integrating existing furniture to tell a personal story. Prioritizing usability without compromising on visual appeal.
